Don't Miss Out on Marketing Opportunities this Holiday season. Did you know that a simple and easy way to gain attention for your practice is putting up Christmas lights? If you haven't done so already, it's not too late to get those lights hung!


If you have the extra money in your budget, hire a professional lighting company to decorate the office building with an elaborate lighting display. If your practice is on a budget, close early one afternoon and make decorating a great team building activity for your staff. Offer Hot coca and Christmas cookies and play Christmas Carols. Decorating your office will not only draw community attention but it may also help lure in new customers. By showing your holiday spirit you show your potential patients that your office is a warm, inviting and sophisticated place to receive their future dental care.

Consider hosting a holiday open house. Having Santa make a special appearance at your practice is a great way to bring potential customers to your office. Many people would rather avoid the long line at the mall, so having Santa at the office will be very well received. If you have time to develop a theme for your open house, you can incorporate it. A very cute idea would be to use the Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer cartoon as a theme.  Ask you staff to dress up as Characters from the cartoon and don't forget to appoint someone to be dentist wannabe… Hermey the Elf. Be sure to offer some fun activates to keep the children entertained. Try having a cupcake decorating activity or a candy cane craft.

Use social media to advertise your event and be sure to send reminders. Contact your local radio station or newspaper and advertise your open house there. If your budget will not allow for the radio or print ad, see if they would be willing to barter the air time or ad space in exchange for your dental services. 

 

Try making your open house a charity event by offering free pictures with Santa to every individual that brings in a nonperishable food item or unwrapped toy.  After your holiday open houses have your Elves (staff) delivers the donated items to your local food bank or pantry.

Don't forget to take lots of pictures and share them all over your social media sites. Showcasing all of your community events is a great way to gain new patients, after all….wouldn't you rather give you're hard earned money to a practice that gives back to the community in which you live? If you haven't done so already…there is still plenty of time to show your holiday spirit.
