If you haven't started your Christmas campaign by now… it's a little late– but don't worry, New Year's is just around the corner! Use the next several weeks to re-evaluate your dental marketing plan and see where your office can improve.  The New Year is the perfect opportunity to increase your practice numbers and set a new marketing plan in place. 

 

Encourage patients to finally get the dental treatment they need. Many insurance benefits renew January 1, so this is a great opportunity for your practice to recruit new patients. Send out a quick email to your patients to remind them to cash in on any end of year insurance benefits. This friendly reminder may give your office a boost during an otherwise slow time.

 

Social media is a very important component in any dental marketing plan, but conventional marketing tools are still very useful. Use traditional marketing methods as well as your social media platforms to offer promotions to your followers. Remind your existing patients of their New Year's resolution by offering a "New Year New Smile" promotion or reward them for referring new patients to your practice. "Ring in the New Year with a Brite Smile. Receive a FREE whitening kit when you refer a friend or relative to our practice!" is a clever and easy campaign to manage.

 

Give your website a makeover! The New Year is the perfect opportunity to do a website overhaul. If your website is not getting the traffic you would like, it may be time for you re-due it. Make sure that you have links to all of your social media platforms and drive traffic back to your website by writing a weekly blog. You can also offer the option to book an appointment online.

 

If your website currently uses generic stock photos or models, try switching it up to use actual patient. Having your patients picture will help to give your practice a more personal touch. Introducing your Doctors' and staff with a personal picture and a small biography may help to ease the anxiety of many patients. Being able to know exactly what they are walking into has its benefits. It also helps to show that you are involved in your community.

Make your practice New Year resolution a commitment to a new campaign and to keep up on your social media, posting daily. These simple tips should help you get your dental marketing campaign off to a great start. Remember to keep track of your growth throughout the year so that you are able to get a better understanding of what your marketing budget should be for next year.
