How to successfully market your practice by hosting a dental patient appreciation day

Organizing a patient appreciation day or week is a fun way to give back and thank your patients for their business, while increasing brand awareness. The idea is to allow patients to bring family and friends and enjoy free treats. Here are a few tips to prepare for the event.
Have all the staff present. There will likely be more appointments that day. Also have one person do the check in and networking.
Prepare advertising banners, drinks and food, special give-away samples, gift cards, gift bags and other decor and favors. Other options include helium balloons, popcorn station and a photo booth.
Organizing a raffle is also a great way to collect email addresses for future email campaigns.
Announce your event in advance on Facebook and Twitter. Other possibilities include emailing and direct mail campaigns, posters in your community and fliers.
Since patient appreciation days are also designed for prospective patients, it might be a good idea to allow walk-ins.
After the event, post a few pictures on Facebook and on your blog/ news section or on your website's front page.
Practices usually hold bi-annual patient appreciation events, though some practices choose to hold a less elaborated event once a month or every Friday afternoon.
